About the Speakers:
Evelyn Vega is President of Staffing Strong, a national recruitment firm specializing in the placement of highly qualified marketing, creative, digital, engineering and human resource professionals. Evelyn was formerly a Director for several national marketing recruitment firms, where she led and managed sales, recruitment and account management teams. Evelyn is advertising agency veteran who has worked on accounts such as MasterCard International, KPMG, McDonalds, the Arizona Diamondbacks, MLB, etc. as well as having served in multiple human resources positions at Arizona State University.
Evelyn ia a former President of the American Marketing Association – Phoenix Chapter, where she currently serves as Director of Career Development, and also serves on the Arizona State University GIT Program Advisory Council. Evelyn has also served as a board member for AIGA (American Institute for Graphic Arts) and APMP (Association for Proposal Management Professionals) and several other industry advisory groups.
Anne Bruce serves as the Global Chief Human Resources Officer with Isola Group, which is headquartered in Chandler, AZ. Isola is a leading global material sciences company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets copper-clad laminates and dielectric prepregs used to fabricate advanced multilayer printed circuit boards (PCBs).
A transformative human capital strategist and operations executive, Anne specializes in establishing HR solutions and strategies in complex and demanding environments – delivering an improved employee experience, increased employee productivity, differentiated employer branding, and aligning the organization around a cohesive strategy to positively impact bottom-line performance.
In her almost 25 years in Human Resources Anne has worked with leading global firms in both executive and leadership positions for Natural Partners Fullscript (Health Technology), Sierra Nevada Corporation (Aerospace & Defense), N2 Growth as an Executive in Residence, American Outdoor Brands (formerly Smith & Wesson Holding Company), Coldwater Creek, and Harry & David.
Hillary Kuenn is a career and entrepreneurial consultant. A speaker, trainer and career transition expert, she brings a strong background in organizational development techniques, career coaching, and corporate training and development. After earning her master’s degree in Industrial and organizational psychology, Hillary opened HiConsulting Services, a company dedicated to helping others reach their greatest potential in life and work. Hillary is a dedicated member of the local community, volunteering and working with local organizations to create small business growth and job opportunities. In addition, she enjoys travel and exploring the southwest with her husband and two dogs.
Davina Morris, Human Resources Business Partner, Yeager Marketing, is a human resources professional with a wide range of experience in Human Resources (13+ years), leadership (7+ years), budget management (5+ years) and customer service (20+ years) among industries such as B2B marketing, senior living, food and beverage and construction. She believe human resources’ greatest opportunity is the positive impact on employees. They are a company’s largest asset and most important investment. Culture isn’t just a buzzword to her, it’s the environment a company cultivates to ensure employee satisfaction which translates to a successful business. It starts with a strong leadership team and employees who are working towards a singular mission. Davina is passionate about developing others because when an organization invests in their people, they will find true success. She believe that all mistakes are opportunities for improvement, challenges help foster growth and successes should be celebrated.
Originally from California, Davina came to Arizona to attend school at Arizona State University (Go Sun Devils!). She enjoyed the Valley of the Sun so much she decided to plant roots here. Her career has taken her from the West to East Coast and back again. She quickly realized Arizona is where she wanted to permanently call home. During her career , Davina has been fortunate to work in a variety of different positions, all which have given her the experience and insight to be where she is today.
Nelson Rivera
Nelson Rivera has spent 20+ years as a talent acquisition professional, residing in Mesa, AZ. He recently worked with Freedom Financial Network as Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition. He has worked for Fortune 500 and 100 companies like Walmart and Petsmart, where he has lead recruiting teams in areas such as human resources , legal, finance, global investigations and executive. He has also led in the areas of employment branding and operations.
Nelson has presented at local events on recruitment best practices and strategies. His passion however is leading and developing his teams to be successful talent acquisition partners.
