Tom Venafro, director of marketing, National Chimney and Natural Light Energy Systems, Phoenix, was named Star Member of American Marketing Association, Phoenix Chapter, for July 2018.
Venafro was a collegiate AMA member, has become active as an AMA Phoenix member this year and was recently named a finalist for Marketer of the Year for Spectrum Awards, presented by AMA Phoenix at Sun Studios of Arizona, Tempe, May 10, 2018. He has held positions at Enroute Computer Solutions, Atlantic City, N.J., PepsiCo, Erie, Penn., and Sherwin-Williams, Grove City, Penn.
Venafro is undergoing MBA studies at Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, and has earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, Slippery Rock, Penn. He is a board member of Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, and secretary of the non-profit organization Sweep Away Cancer.
“I am now a new father who focuses on my family, staying fit and dedicating time to my church,” Venafro said. “I utilize my morning commute to listen to many genres of music and get myself motivated each day to serve my industry. I strive to provide constant communication to my customers so they feel like family when they buy our products. I settle for nothing but the best and will work to death to achieve just that.”
