Director of Event AV

Responsibilities: Work with Events Venue Chair to establish AV resources at potential venues and what AMA Phoenix will need to provide.  Establish requirements that the AMA Board members should be aware of for providing digital presentations and video.  Work with the Spectrum Committee as needed.

Director of Event Registration/Check-in

Responsibilities: Coordinate with Programming VP on covering scheduled events. Develop a schedule for event coverage by volunteers.  Work with the Spectrum Committee. Recruit and manage check-in registration volunteers.

Skills: Organized and good communicator. Supervisory and management skills

Time Requirements: 10 hours or less per month based on covering events (average)

Director of Membership Recruitment

Responsibilities: Recruit new membership using creative communication methods, including telephone calls, networking, emailing and other methods. Manage other committee members.

Preferred Skills: Creativity, willingness to try new ideas, general marketing and new business development skills. Supervisory and management skills.

Time Requirements: 3 hours per week (average)

Director of Membership Retention

Responsibilities: Retain existing membership using creative communication methods and incentives, including telephone calls, networking, emailing and other methods. Manage other committee members.

Preferred Skills: Creativity, willingness to try new ideas, general marketing and business development skills. Supervisory and management skills.

Time Requirements: 3 hours per week (average)

Director of Creative/Brand

Responsibilities: Work with the VP of Brand on design concepts for various marketing assets – print, web, signage etc. Will also be hands on with designing marketing assets. Will manage a graphic design committee.

Preferred Skills: Creativity and great concepting and ideation skills, willingness to try new ideas, general marketing and business development skills. Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator skills. Knowledge of HTML and WordPress is helpful but not required. Supervisory and management skills.

Time Requirements: 3 hours per week (average)

Graphic/Web Designer

Responsibilities: Work with the VP of Brand and Creative Director on design concepts for various marketing assets – print, web, signage etc. Will also be hands on with designing marketing assets.

Preferred Skills: Creativity and great concepting and ideation skills, willingness to try new ideas, Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator skills. Knowledge of HTML and WordPress is helpful but not required.

Time Requirements: 2 hours per week (average)

Number of Volunteers Needed: 2

Event Blogger

Responsibilities: Writing in-event blog posts that will be posted to the AMA post-event. This person can also manage facilitating a blog post from the speaker, which will be posted pre-event. (These can be 2 people if you think that would work better.)

Preferred Skills: Blogging

Time Requirements: 1 post per month and 1 contact with the speaker per month – 4 hours per month.

Number of Volunteers Needed: 2

Director of Event Venues

Responsibilities: Source venues for AMA Phoenix events, based on direction by the Board, Programming, and survey responses.  Establish a list of potential venues across the Valley.

Skills: Knowledge of event planning, contacts with Chambers of Commerce and Visitors and Conventions Bureau.  Work with Spectrum Committee. Supervisory and management skills.

Time Requirements: 3 hours per week (average)

Event Videographer

Responsibilities: Videoing the event from start to finish (maybe without the announcements). Edit the video for the full video file and edit a shorter “highlight” version of the video.

Preferred Skills: videography and editing

Time Requirements: 1 video per month and 2 edits per month – 4 hours per month. (I don’t know how long editing takes so I am guessing. 2 hours for the event and 2 hours editing? They can arrive at 3:00pm since we start the presentation at 3:30pm.)

Number of Volunteers Needed: 2-4 people

Programming Specialist

Responsibilities: Work with the VP of Programming to secure speakers for our events, based on trending; hot marketing topics and member feedback. Communicate with the speaker to get the speaker form from them and advise them of the details of the event (venue, time, date).

Preferred Skills: marketing, relationship building

Time Requirements: 2-4 hours a month per speaker

Number of Volunteers: 2-4
