About the Speakers:
Jon is a marketing entrepreneur and thought leader. Prior to his role as CEO and co-founder of Engagio, Jon was a co-founder at Marketo, a leader in marketing automation that went public in 2013 and was sold to Vista Equity for $1.8B.
He is a speaker and writer about marketing best practices and is the author of multiple marketing books including the Clear and Complete Guide to Account Based Marketing; the Clear and Complete Guide to Account Based Sales Development; and Marketo’s Definitive Guide to Marketing Automation. In 2016, B2B Marketing named Jon one of the 10 Most Influential Tech Marketers in the world.
Jon holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Harvard College and has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
John has two lives. First as President of B2BMarketing.com, a data-driven consulting, training and data analytics firm with offices in Scottsdale, AZ. The firm focuses on sales lead generation and improving customer relationships through the use of data analytics and the insights gained from the analysis. In addition, John writes content and gives webinars for other firms as a well known third party expert.
John’s second life is as VP Business Development for Direct Hit Marketing of Longmont CO, a data analytics firm serving the trade show, higher education and broader B2B world.
John has had a dual career with 35 years in both B2B sales and marketing. His first 15 years was in sales and sales management with BF Goodrich Chemical and Quaker Oats Chemical Division (National Sales Manager). This has been followed by 20 years in database direct marketing that started with 10 years of agency ownership followed by being National Campaign Manager for IBM, and Sr. VP B2B Rapp Collins Worldwide. John is author of “The Fundamentals of Business-to-Business Sales & Marketing” published by McGraw-Hill and now in its second printing. His new book, “Data-Driven Marketing & Sales for Trade Show Organizers” is due out in early 2018. He is also now writing another book titled Account Based Marketing & Sales for publication also in 2018.
